Bethesda, MD (December 7, 2023) - Dr. Anne Snowdon has been invited to participate in an in-person meeting of the President’s Cancer Panel taking place on Thursday, December 7 in Bethesda, Maryland. This will be the third and final meeting of their series – Reducing Cancer Care Inequities: Leveraging Technology to Enhance Patient Navigation and will focus on policy considerations at the intersection of technology and patient navigation.

The President’s Cancer Panel is a Federal Advisory Committee that monitors the activities of the National Cancer Program and reports to the President of the United States on barriers to progress in reducing the burden of cancer. This year the Panel, Drs. Elizabeth Jaffee, Mitchel Berger, and Carol Brown, are convening key experts to discuss gaps and opportunities related to the use of technology to support cancer patient navigation. Information gathered during this meeting series will guide the development of the Panel’s report to the President of the United States.
